The Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Consortium (SLCEC) seeks an informed, deliberative, civically-engaged society. Our mission is to bring together institutions of higher education and community partners to support, promote, generate, and advocate for service-learning and civic engagement practices.
SLCEC Goals:
Engage faculty and students in placed-based, civic engagement research and practice
Develop and share civic education pedagogy across institutions and, ideally, across disciplines
Strengthen the organizational capacity of our membership consortium
